Sakhiyon ki Baadi

A community-based learning centre in Rajasthan, ‘Sakhiyon ki Baadi’ is the cornerstone of IIFL Foundation’s vision to improve female literacy rate in Rajasthan, especially among the marginalised and vulnerable communities.

The programme is aimed at promoting Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Skills among girls in the age range of 4 to 14 years, who are primarily out-of-school or have dropped out of school, in Udaipur and Pratapgarh districts of Rajasthan, predominantly in areas densely populated by Scheduled Tribes.

The initiative covertly contributes to conservation of Indigenous languages, provides employment to native females and promotes skill building among the marginalized communities.
