About the Initiative
Chauras is a dedicated learning center and crèche designed to support the children of migrant laborers working at construction sites, brick kilns, and mineral grinding units. It provides early education, nutrition, and healthcare to ensure a strong foundation for every child.
The center groups children into three categories based on age: under 3 years, Balwadi (3-6 years) for early childhood education, and the Bridge Course (6-12 years) to help older children transition into formal schooling.
Beyond education, Chauras ensures holistic child welfare by providing three daily meals—two hot meals and a nutritious supplement for undernourished children. Regular health check-ups and vaccinations are also part of the program, ensuring overall well-being.
The center not only provides education but also ensures each child receives three meals daily—two hot meals and one nutritious meal, with additional provisions for undernourished children. Regular health check-ups and vaccinations are also part of the program, ensuring comprehensive care and well-being for every child.
