About the Initiative

The Pankh initiative provided a supportive learning environment for the children of migrant construction workers, ensuring they had access to education despite their challenging circumstances. Since many of these children had been out of school, the program focused on foundational learning, covering essential subjects such as basic literacy, numeracy, and life skills. By bridging critical learning gaps, Pankh helped students build confidence and reintegrate into the education system.

Beyond academics, the initiative engaged with the community through tailored workshops to foster holistic development. These included safety awareness sessions for all, behavioral training for men, and hygiene and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) education for women. By addressing both educational and social barriers, Pankh empowered children with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive, creating new opportunities for a brighter and more secure future.

Note: Project Pankh is closed as on December, 2023.
