About the Initiative
IIFL Foundation’s Sakhiyon Ki Baadi program is a community-based learning initiative aimed at eradicating female illiteracy in Rajasthan by providing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills.
Each center operates six days a week for four hours daily, using interactive and play-based learning methods, including music, drama, and real-world exposure. The curriculum, aligned with Rajasthan’s government schools, covers Hindi, English, Math, and moral sciences, fostering confident, curious, and capable learners.
Beyond education, the program supports indigenous language preservation, women’s employment from Scheduled Tribes, and adult literacy. By promoting Quality Education, Gender Equality, and Reduced Inequalities, it actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
